12/17/2008 EN, Westview, Churubusco named ‘Best Buy’ high schools
East Noble, Westview and Churubusco high schools were named three of the state’s Best Buy High Schools by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce for putting tax dollars to good use.

Kara Fields of Albion won the Central Noble Middle School spelling bee recently by correctly spelling the word “hazard.” The 13-year-old eighth-grader is the daughter of Billy Fields and Tina Lough. Spencer Rimmel, 14, of Albion was the runner-up. The eighth-grader missed spelling the word “mattress.” He is the son of Eric and Lisa Rimmel and will serve as the alternate for the county spelling bee in January.
12/9/2008 St.Mary School to debut band on Dec. 16th
On Tuesday, Dec. 16, the band will debut in a big way at the annual school Christmas program beginning at 6:30 p.m. Jitters aside, band director Nora Jackson said they’ll be ready.
